Dear Mount Vernon & Lisbon Community Members

This past fall, we invited you to engage in the work of the Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Development Group and you responded in a BIG way! We saw annual community investment increase by 15%. We have been able to put that investment to work right away to establish sustainable systems, try new marketing outlets and enhance our event experience. The progress and energy we see throughout our community would not be possible without the people who choose to show up, volunteer, invest, shop local and champion our small towns each and every day. Every effort – big or small – helps create the welcoming, vibrant and connected place we are proud to call home.

Community development is about more than events and projects; it’s about building and sustaining relationships, creating opportunities, supporting local businesses and investing in a future that benefits everyone.
