If you have no plans on Tuesday evenings this summer, the Mount Vernon Community Band will be performing at the Memorial Park Gazebo at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, June 2, the concert started with the band’s traditional season opener, “Over the Rainbow.”

Marches, brass band and a John Williams highlight reel were among the tunes played June 2.

Director Elise Rodenberg said that there are numerous community bands in the area as well if people are interested in this type of music.
