Linn County Family Transformation Services, which includes the Healthy Families Nurturing Parenting Program and the Protective Program, has earned the Iowa Family Support Credential from the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services. This credential recognizes programs across the state that provide high-quality support and education for families with young children.
“Congratulations to Family Transformation Services for receiving the Iowa Family Support Credential! This is a major accomplishment that shows the program follows strong best practice standards. It’s great to see the staff recognized for their commitment to serving Iowa’s young children and families,” said Gloria Witzberger, Linn County Child & Youth Development Services Director.
Programs earn the credential by meeting the 33 Iowa Family Support Standards and completing an outside review that shows they use proven practices and offer effective services. As of April 2026, Linn County Family Transformation Services is one of 21 programs in Iowa to receive this credential. The program has held this credential since 2013, and it remains valid for five years.
Credentialed programs receive ongoing training and support and are reviewed regularly. This helps ensure families get dependable services that support child development, positive parenting, and overall family well-being. The credential also gives the community confidence in the quality of these services.
