Spring pop-up shop at Bloom Collective

The Bloom Collective will feature a pop-up shop Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 121 First Street in Mount Vernon.

Vendors will include Charming Midwest Gals, Mints and Sweets, Briar Ray Bow Co.,m Sip N Savor, May Clay Designs, Floured Cow Micro Bakery, Rustic 9 Design, Blind Date Blvd., Just the Girls, Bloom Beauty and Tattoo, Modish Boutique and Queen B Iowa.

Hello Summer shopping event

Kick off summer in Mount Vernon & Lisbon with season-long shopping perks! Join us on Saturday, June 6 (during store business hours) for the Hello Summer Kickoff, where our local businesses will be rolling out doorbusters, treats, or exclusive deals to celebrate the start of summer!

Pick up a punch card at any participating business and start earning punches: 1 punch for every $10 spent. Once your card is full (10 punches), the business will collect it, and you’ll get a new one. Every completed card is entered into a drawing for local gift certificates at the end-of-summer Sidewalk Sales on August 8th.

Support your favorite small businesses from June 6th through Sidewalk Sale Weekend in August and rack up those punches for chances to win big!

Write Together

Come by the Lisbon Public Library Saturday, May 23 from 10 a.m. to noon, to get away from it all and write on the fourth Saturday of each month, May through August. The first fifteen minutes will be an opportunity to meet other writers with 10:15 to noon reserved for quiet writing. Bring a notebook or laptop. We’ll have some writing prompts if you need help getting started. This program is led by local writer Susan Richmann.
