Well, the clouds blew away and the Lisbon boys golf was able to get out on the course for four events last week.

Lisbon beat Midland 171 to 189 on Monday, April 20, at Kernoustie Golf Course. They lost to Maquoketa Valley on Tuesday, April 21, 151 to 167, at Hart Ridge Golf Course, and lost to Bellevue Marquette on Wednesday, April 22, by one stroke, 172 to 173, at Bellevue Golf Course.

“It was a lot of golfing for our kids,” Lisbon Coach Cameron Eichhorn said. “We faced some real tough teams, but put up some respectable scores.”

The Lions finished the week placing seventh at the Grinnell Tournament on Thursday, April 23, at Grinnell College Golf Course.

“That was a beautiful course, but with a thick rough,” Eichhorn said. “Kids struggled out of the rough.”

Lisbon had three different medalists over the four events. Freshman Tyler Kubovec and junior Adrian Armstrong doing it twice (including co-medalist against Midland), with freshman Fletcher Hove winning once.
