More than 30 Mount Vernon residents took part in a clean-up day of uptown Mount Vernon led by Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Development Group Wednesday, April 22.

Crews worked at cleaning up the streets and alleys along First Street in uptown Mount Vernon, as well as First Street Community Center lawns.

The event was scheduled during an early out day for area schools.
