It was a pretty good debut.
Lisbon freshman Tyler Kubovec earned a spot on the Tri-Rivers East first-team all-conference, following his first varsity season.
Kubovec averaged 16.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per game for the Lions, who finished 10-13.
“That is an impressive accomplishment, as much as our conference has been represented at the state level (Bellevue Marquette was runner-up in 1A),” Lisbon coach Levi Montague said. “We are excited to get to work with Tyler for the next three years.”
Lisbon senior Ian Whittenbaugh earned honorable mention.
“Ian played an important role leading our team, using his experience to guide and support his teammates,” Montague said. “He showed great toughness by battling through various injuries while continuing to compete and give his best effort.”
