The Mount Vernon Trailblazers 4-H Club held its monthly meeting on Sunday, Jan. 11, at the Mount Vernon Fire Department. The meeting began by reviewing our previous minutes, as we hadn’t had a meeting in December; instead, we had a party where we decorated cookies, watched a movie, and held a white elephant gift exchange. Then we addressed some budget problems after reimbursing the two families that helped out with ‘Adopt a Family’ and ‘Sleep in Heavenly Peace’ for community service. Finally, we signed up for our upcoming presentations that will happen throughout the year, but are mainly dedicated to, after the February meeting. The next meeting will be held Feb 1 at the Mount Vernon Fire Department.
