As the new year begins, I love looking back at all the books our patrons read over the course of the previous year. In 2025, Cole Library patrons checked out nearly 14,000 items from the public library’s collections. Our most utilized collections were picture books, fiction for adults, and children’s nonfiction books. Summer was our busiest time, with the most material going out in the months of June and July.
