Chamber II Holiday Brass

Chamber II Holiday Brass will hold a concert at United Methodist Church of Mount Vernon Friday, Dec. 12, at 7:30 p.m. The concert is presented by Orchestra Iowa. Tickets for the concert can be purchased at https://www.artsiowa.com/tickets/concerts/chamber-ii-holiday-brass/ and are $37 each.

Christmas sing-a-long

A Christmas Carol sing-a-long will be held at historic Sts. Peter and Paul Chapel in rural Solon Sunday, Dec. 14. The concert begins at 5 p.m. in the chapel, with hot chocolate and treats to follow in the fellowship hall, as well as a visit with Santa Claus. Sts. Peter and Paul Church is located at 1165 Taft Avenue N.E. in rural Solon.

Lisbon Pride Boosters Casino Night

Lisbon Pride Boosters will be hosting a casino night Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, at Tin Roof Hideaway and Events Center. Doors open for the night at 6 p.m., gambling begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $45 in advance (available at select Lisbon sporting events this winter) or $50 at the door, and include a commemorative Lisbon Lions gift, starting chips to gamble with, one free drink ticket and one free raffle ticket. Games include blackjack, poker, roulette, craps and bingo, as well as a silent auction and raffle. Proceeds will benefit the Lisbon Pride Boosters.
