At 5:04 p.m., the local 4-H club Barnyard Buddies was called to order. To start off their meeting, each child said their name and their favorite Thanksgiving food. Popular answers included turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie. Following role call came addressing unfinished business. This included installing their new president, Claire, and addressing their new meeting location. One of their Activity Coordinators, Mary, motioned to move to the Middle School Commons, in which their other activity coordinator, Weston, seconded. Majority of members voted in favor. Barnyard Buddies also talked about the details of their Christmas party, caroling, and the baskets they would be making. These baskets will include cards, fruit, candy canes, soup, beans, and mac & cheese. To wrap up the unfinished business, Barnyard Buddies addressed committees. Their reporter, Grace, motioned to create the three committees and Charlee seconded the motion. The rest of the club voted in favor. The rest of the club voted in favor of creating the committees. After, Barnyard Buddies moved on to new business, which included the Linn County Pioneer 4-H Club. Pioneer is a 4-H club designed so that kids with special needs are able to participate in 4-H. They were looking for volunteers to help with the meeting. Barnyard Buddies wrapped up with final announcements and adjourned the meeting at 5:58 p.m.
