In a November 13 Guest Opinion, Jeff Kaufmann, Chairman of the Republican Party, asserted that “the truth is that the left has a violence problem” while generally declaring the Democratic Party responsible for political violence.

Everyone understands and accepts that Republicans believe that “truth” has no relation to objective facts.

For the rest of us who base our truth on facts, here they are:

On Jan. 6, 2021, the Republican President, Donald Trump held a Republican political rally in which he and other Republicans incited a Republican crowd to violence. The Republican crowd then went to the United States Capitol and attempted the violent overthrow of the United States Government while Republican President Trump did nothing. Many of these violent Republicans were tracked down, prosecuted, convicted and imprisoned for their crimes against our Country. The Republican ex-President, Donald Trump, repeatedly called these violent Republicans “political prisoners” and once he was re-elected, his very first act was to pardon and release all of these violent Republican convicted criminals.
