Run for Pie

The runners are off from the starting line at Lisbon City Park for the Run for Pie 5K Saturday, Sept. 20. The day was overcast, but aside from a few sprinkles, there were no issues with the run.

Every racer got a pie tart and the event raised funds for Haiti once again, as more than 115 racers took part in the annual 5K this year.

Top place runners were Lisbon’s Ean Caskey with a 16:11 run for the guys and Becca Mallon of North Liberty with a time of 18:44 for women.

In the female 15-19 age division, MVLXC runners Edith Dawson and Claire Jensen tied for first place with 24:27, while in the males 15-19 division Chasen Caskey finished in first with 19:43.
