Ann Niehaus, 84, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Lisbon Rehabilitation Center, Lisbon. Gathering of Friends and Family was held Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon.
Ann was born May 4, 1941, in Davenport, the daughter of James and Ruth (Lynch) McCutcheon. A devoted farm wife, she found great joy in caring for the farm, tending her garden, and sharing her love of baking. Ann cherished animals, especially her dogs and livestock. She also enjoyed watching sports, reading, knitting, and staying active through water aerobics and yoga.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Fred; daughter, Heidi (Mark); sons, Phillip (Amy) and Todd; grandchildren, Clayton (Christina), LiliaAna (Josh), Hannah, Grace (Daniel), Jonathon (Lexi), Zach (Lexi), Lizzy (Kale), and Josie; and great-grandchildren, Casen, Cecelia, Callie, Scarlett, Sage, Summer, Liberty, Judah, Marian, Kolton, Luke, and Taytum.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
