Augustana spring 2025 dean’s list

Lydia Benesh, a business administration-management and theatre generalist major, of Mount Vernon, was named to Augustana College’s dean’s list for the spring 2025 semester.

Students must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher to be named to the list.

American Board of Family Medicine confers diplomate status on Doctor

The American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) has recently conferred Diplomate status on Cassandra Ann Smith, D.O. Becoming an ABFM Diplomate indicates that, Dr. Smith has taken the extra step of board certification, which is a voluntary credential that exceeds state medical licensure. Beyond completing the requisite residency training requirements, ABFM board-certified physicians have taken and passed the initial Family Medicine Certification Exam, and demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and continuous performance improvement. It also means they have met the standards for ethics and professionalism set by their peers.
