The Be Original 4-H Club of Lisbon had tremendous success at the Great Jones County Fair. Club members got the chance to grow individually and gain showmanship and communication skills by volunteering in the food stand, preparing their animals and projects, and many other experiences. Be Original Club had 17 members showing livestock and seven champion placements among those members. Static projects had many standout moments with nine members having projects sent to the Iowa State Fair and two members presenting educational presentations at the Iowa State Fair. Horticulture had eight exhibitors doing an amazing job with their plants. Be Originals members are already looking forward to next year’s Great Jones County Fair and the opportunities it will bring.
