Seeds of Faith Lutheran Church is hosting a presenter from the Iowa Donor Network Sunday, July 20, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. This is open to the public and Cornell community.
Are you curious about what organ/tissue donation involves but aren’t sure where to find the best information? Do you ever wonder about the impact that donation can make on an individual? We welcome you to please join us for this presentation from the Iowa Donor Network. We will cover why you might consider becoming an organ and tissue donor, the legalities of signing up to be a donor, how to register, and the impact that organ and tissue donation has across the state of Iowa.
Seasonal Plant-Based Cooking Class with Mariah Andrews
Join local chef Mariah Andrews to celebrate the launch of her new cookbook, “The Plantiful Pantry Family Favorites,” and cook something delicious together Saturday, July 19 from 1-3 p.m. at Southeast Linn Community Center kitchen. You’ll join her in preparing a seasonal plant-based meal using fresh summer produce and learn tips for eating more plants.

Bill Stamats Artist Talk July 19, 11:30 a.m., Abbe Creek Gallery
On Saturday, July 19, the Abbe Creek Gallery will host painter Bill Stamats as he gives an artist talk about his current exhibit “Back Roads and Blue Skies / Paintings and Assemblages”. His 16-piece exhibit runs through August 23 at the gallery, 105 First Street NW. Admission is free.
Stamats is a Midwest artist who creates neo-regionalist artwork, images which are intensely colored, passionately created and playfully designed.
Productions include pieces from series based on the Sac and Fox trail, barns and bridge on Rosedale Road in SE, Cedar Rapids, Three Forks, Montana, Deerfield, Massachusetts, and Watkins Glen, New York
