First Street may not have been closed this year for parking, but it was still hopping as the Nitty Gritty Antiques Festival popped into town.
This year, shoppers had four different locations to find antiques – Vintage 1891, Polly Ann’s Antiques and her adjacent parking lot, Back Porch Pickers and Artisans and the parking lots at the Elliott Athletic Complex. Many food vendors were down at Elliott Athletic Complex, while antiques realtors were set up at Polly Ann’s Antiques parking lot and other locations uptown.
Several uptown restaurants were also open in the uptown for the festival day.
More than 90 different vendors were available to have their wares perused at Back Porch Pickers and Artisans shop in Mount Vernon.
