They may need to get a bigger gazebo in the future.

This year’s Mount Vernon Community Band has 43 members and director Elise Rodenberg cramming into the gazebo at Memorial Park, and the first Tuneful Tuesdays concert was held Tuesday, June 10 (the concert June 3 was rained out). The band played a variety of marches, a medley of Jesus Christ Superstar songs, a MoTown medley and even a piece which featured clarinet soloist Joe Dieker. Mount Vernon Bank and Trust provided free popcorn at the concert as well. Tuneful Tuesdays will continue through July 8, with the concerts beginning at 7:30 p.m.
