The Lisbon Lions varsity baseball squad rocketed to 21-4 overall last week, after picking up a pair of wins against the visiting Midland Eagles.
The Lions remain perched atop the East Division of the Tri-Rivers Conference, with the two wins further distancing the team from second place Midland.
The team hosted the Eagles Monday, Jun. 26 in a doubleheader.
The Lions picked up the first game by a score of 4-0, methodically adding single runs in the first, second, fourth and sixth to give them the edge.
Dillon Brayton and Cohen Kamaus had two hits apiece in the effort, with Kamaus creating two RBIs and a stolen base.
Hunter Clark presided over the win on the mound, pitching for seven innings and striking out eight Eagles.
The Lions had 10 hits while the Eagles managed just two.
The second of the two games was a little tighter, with Midland scoring a run in the second to tie the contest at one.
However, the Lions enjoyed a successful third inning, where they pulled ahead 4-1. Both teams scored a run in the sixth, but it would not be enough for the visiting Eagles.
Dillon Brayton and Kaden Caspers each went 1-2 in the match, with Brayton producing an RBI, and Caspers providing two.
Cohen Kamaus was awarded the win on the mound, pitching seven innings and fanning nine.
