A driver was seriously injured in a one vehicle crash in Bertram on Hwy. 13 south of Bertram, Saturday, June 20, at 12:40 p.m.. The driver of the 2010 Dodge Caliber was transported to University of Iowa hospitals by Lifeguard Air Ambulance with life threatening injuries.
According to Sgt. Cole Burns of the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, the driver was southbound on Hwy. 13 when the vehicle lost control, and rolled multiple times, coming to rest on Hwy.13. Mount Vernon and Lisbon Fire Departments had to extract the driver from the vehicle.
Others responding to the scene include Linn County Rescue 57, Cedar Rapids Area Ambulance, Mount Vernon-Lisbon Police Department. The accident remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office, and identity of the driver is being withheld at the moment.
