Customers can now schedule an appointment at the Linn County Treasurer’s Office for all services offered by the department. This new online system is part of the statewide scheduling system through the Iowa Department of Transportation. Appointments will make it easier for people to plan their visits and will reduce wait times. The first appointments will be available June 17.

Last year, the Treasurer’s Office began taking appointments for title transfers. Now, appointments are available for all services provided by the Linn County Treasurer’s Office.

The appointment system allows customers to:

• Schedule appointments for any service offered at the Linn County Treasurer’s Office

• Receive automated email and/or text reminders

• Check in for their appointment by mobile device or kiosk at the Treasurer’s Office

• Reschedule or cancel appointments online with ease

Walkin service will remain available; however, appointments are encouraged. Customers with appointments will be seen at their scheduled time and walkins may experience longer wait times.

The new appointment system is part of the Treasurer’s Office ongoing efforts to improve customer service and should reduce wait time significantly for anyone using the appointment system.
