Students of all ages participated in back to school activities at Mount Vernon, Lisbon and Cornell last week. At Washington Elementary, students were encouraged to meet their teachers from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19. WETAP held a popsicles on the playground event that kicked off at 4 p.m., and ran out of popsicles before the event concluded in record time.
Cornell College first-year students moved into the dorms Wednesday, Aug. 20, and upperclassmen and athletes on campus helped new students haul their items from vehicles to their new dorms as a welcome to the Ramily.
At Lisbon, Back to school night was Wednesday, Aug. 20, with all grades welcome to meet their teachers from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Lisbon parks and recreation also hosted a back to school bash at Lisbon City Park that evening, serving walking tacos.
