The time capsule for Lisbon’s Sesquicentennial was officially closed at the end of the Lisbon Sauerkraut Days festival. Becky Bunting with the Lisbon History Center said that items will still be collected at Hills Bank to put in the capsule for the next two weeks if people forgot to include them. Hills Bank will then seal the capsule and keep it away until the 200th anniversary of the community.
Included in the capsule currently are a lot of paper documents, as well as items from Lisbon’s sesquicentennial celebration.
