Mount Vernon senior Erik Lamb was named to the second team for the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State team last week.

Senior AJ McDermott was a third team pick.

Lamb hit .416 with 14 doubles, 4 home runs and 36 RBIs. McDermott was 8-0 on the mound with a 2.84 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 49.1 innings pitched
