Effective Monday, Nov. 18, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office will transition to an online portal for accepting gun permit applications.

All gun permit applications will be required to be submitted through this online portal, which will require a valid email address to communicate the status of your application and permit.

A computer tablet with internet access will be made available for use at the Sheriff’s Office during regular office hours for those members of the public who do not have internet access.

Applications submitted online can be paid with a credit or debit card.
