Mount Vernon earned 32 Division I ratings at the state indiivdual speech contest at Cedar Rapids Xavier Saturday, March 9.
Coach Tawnua Tenley said the school had 39 entries qualified for state, but one student was unable to attend state contest.
Twenty of those Division I ratings were straight Division I ratings, meaning all three judges awarded a Division I rating.
