University of Iowa dean’s list

More than 7,900 students at the University of Iowa were named to the dean’s list for the 2023 fall semester, including several local students. Students named to the dean’s list needed to obtain a GPA of 3.5 or above. Local students include:
Mount Vernon – Jacob Cannon, Ellen Crock, Elijah Dickson, Mitchell Gage, Isabel Hawker, Nolan Hinrichs, Nicole Homrighausen, Dominic Jiacinto, Isabelle Krapfl, MaKayla Lee, Finley McVay, Abigail Morf, Samantha Parks, Margaret Player, Sadie Player, Piper Price, Camryn Streicher, Laura Swart, Parker Whitham, Clair Zmolek, Hedy Zmolek

Central College dean’s list
Several local students were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester at Central College. To be named to the dean’s list, students must obtain a GPA of 3.5 or above.

Marshalltown Community College dean’s list
Robert Scranton of Martelle was named to the fall 2023 dean’s list at Marshalltown Community College. To be named to the dean’s list, students must obtain a GPA of 3.5 or above.
Simpson College dean’s list
Avery Plathe of Mount Vernon was named to the Simpson College fall 2023 dean’s list. To be named to the dean’s list, students must obtain a GPA of 3.5 or above.
Simpson College president’s list
Hunter Clark of Lisbon and Jenna Woodward of Mechanicsville were named to the Simpson College fall 2023 president’s list. To be named to the president’s list, students must obtain a GPA of 4.0.
University of Northern Iowa dean’s list
Several local students were named to the University of Northern Iowa’s fall 2023 dean’s list. To be named to the dean’s list, students must obtain a GPA of 3.5 or above. Locals on the list include:
Lisbon – Paige Beck, Shannon Beck, Cohen Kamaus, Maya Kohl, Hunter Neymeyer, Brandon Paez
Mechanicsville – Averee Kasik

UNI fall graduation list
Mackenzie Ketchum and Payton Schwiebert of Mount Vernon were fall 2023 graduates from the University of Northern Iowa. Ketchum graduated with a bachelor of arts in kinesiology and exercise science and Schwiebert graduated with a bachelor of arts in art: studio emphasis.
