Puzzle swapTake part in Cole Library’s Puzzle Swap. Drop off puzzles at the first-floor desk January 16 through 19. For every puzzle you turn in, receive a ticket to use at the Puzzle Swap Saturday, Jan. 20.
Puzzles must be 500 or more pieces with the pieces packed in a ziplock bag inside the box. The puzzles can be new or gently used, with no missing pieces.
No puzzles will be accepted on swap day.
Puzzle donations gratefully accepted.
Beat Cancer t-shirt orders due Jan. 17 The Mount Vernon Lions Club along with the Mount Vernon boys’ and girls’ basketball teams are teaming up with Beat Cancer Today and CauseTeam to help raise awareness and funds for Childhood Cancer for the Feb. 2 basketball game against Solon. There is a contest between both Mount Vernon and Solon High Schools to see who can sell the most shirts. Orders for the Beat Cancer today fundraiser are due by Wednesday, Jan. 17, to CauseTeam, with shirt delivery expected Thursday, Feb. 1.
