Susan Hansen Aragon, 75, of Loveland, Colo., passed away Nov. 22 after a long battle with cancer.
A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.
Sue was born to Robert and Merline Hansen of Lisbon. She graduated from MVHS and Western Illinois University with a degree in elementary education. After relocating to Boulder, Colo., she met and married Gary Aragon. They celebrated their 50th anniversary Nov. 1. Susan retired in 2016 after many years as a lab tech with Aragon Elastomers.
In addition to being a kind neighbor, co-worker and friend, Sue “Suki” enjoyed gardening and long hikes with her dogs. She was a passionate animal advocate, providing a loving home to many cats and dogs over the years while supporting various rescue organizations.
Survivors include her husband, sister Marianne (John) Garrigan of Thompsons Station, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews, and her precious mini-Aussie, Ziva.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary or the Larimer County Humane Society.
