The first of three Shop Small events were held in Mount Vernon and Lisbon Saturday, Nov. 4. The open house for area businesses included Mount Vernon Bank and Trust handing out community cash at the top of the morning, and the usual community cash awards on the top of each hour for people who entered their name in the fish bowl on Main Street.
Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Development Group will be holding two more Shop Small events this year, with the next being the traditional Shop Small Saturday Nov. 25.
Saturday, Dec. 9 will see the last chance shopping specials events for uptown businesses.
