The Lisbon Lions football continues to win in a decisive manner, as they’ve opened their season with two big victories — while keeping their opponents completely scoreless.
Last week, the team defeated Durant 42-0. For their second game, and first home game, they defeated Louisa-Muscatine 55-0.
Another way of putting this is that the Lions have outscored the two teams they’ve played so far 97-0.
The Falcons got a good look at the way things would go for them in the first quarter, when the Lions exploded out of the gate with a 21-0 period.
By the time the first half had ended, Lisbon enjoyed a 35-0 lead.
The team tacked on another 20 points in the third quarter before letting up in the scoreless fourth quarter.
Such decisive victories, indicated Lions head coach Dylan Hastings, “make my job a heck of a lot easier.”
Dakota Clark threw for 126 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 52 yards and another touchdown.
Baylor Speidel featured a standout performance with 74 rushing yards that yielded three trips across the goal line.
Matthias Kohl led the pack in tackles, with 5.5. Speidel contributed another 4.5.
