The Lisbon varsity baseball team climbed to 4-0 last week with a win Friday, May 26 at West Branch.
The Lions bested the Bears 15-2.
The team was up by a modest 4-1 when they exploded for nine runs in the third inning, putting them largely out of reach at 13-2. They would go on to score another two runs the following inning, producing the final score of 15-2.
Landon Stolte was key for the Lions, coming up with three hits, including a double and a home run, that scored five of his teammates. Stolte crossed home plate two times himself.
Luke Czarnecki was a powerful force on the mound, pitching for seven innings and striking out seven Bears.
