The Mount Vernon-Lisbon girls tennis team won two and lost one last week to hit .500 with a record of 2-2 overall.

Monday, April 10

The Mustangs opened the week by hosting Maquoketa, defeating their guests 6-3.
Jordan Bleile, Lainey Kelly, Ashtyn Rollinger and Tallulah Norton had individual wins, with Kelsey Kamerling and Kelly and Rollinger/Norton had wins in doubles.
The Cardinals picked up a pair of wins in singles play, and one more in doubles.

Tuesday, April 11

The team traveled to Independence the following evening and lost 8-1 to hosts Independence.
Bleile picked up the team’s sole win in singles play at Independence Mustangs

Thursday, April 13

The Mustangs picked up a decisive victory Thursday at home, defeating the Union Community Knights 9-0.
Bleile, Kamerling, Meredith McCollum, Kelly, Rollinger and Norton had individual wins, and Bleile/Kelly, Kamerling/McCollum and Norton/Rollinger had doubles wins.
