The Lisbon varsity boys golf team improved to 11-1 last week, picking up a win-by-forfeit Monday before enjoying a home win over Prince of Peace, taking second in the Easton Valley Boys Invite, and outshooting the North Cedar Knights on the road.
Tuesday, April 11The Lions picked up a decisive 161-256 win over Prince of Peace Irish at Kernoustie to begin their successful week.
Brayden Boots led the effort with the day’s low score of 35, with teammate Alex Bock in second with a 39.
Thursday, April 13 The Lions placed second at Thursday’s Easton Valley Boys Invite at Plum River Golf Course, with Beckman Catholic posting the lowest score of 302.
Beckman Catholic’s Nate Offerman set the bar for the tournament at 68 to lead the pack.
Lisbon’s Alex Bock shot his team’s lowest score of 79 to place third, with Brayden Boots and Indy Harbaugh supporting the effort with a score of 81 apiece to tie for fifth.
Friday, April 14The Lions capped the week off with a 165-180 win over their hosts, the North Cedar Knights.
Indy Harbaugh led the way to shoot a 36 — as did Jaydon Nabb of North Cedar, to tie.
Brayden Boots shot a 41 to claim third, with Alex Bock shooting a 43 to place fourth.
