A small group took part in learning all about knitting Wednesday, March 13, at Cole Library.
The activity was one of a handful of activities at Cole Library during spring break week at the library.
Other activities included Lego Lve on Tuesday and a movie on Monday morning.
Cole Library director Cathy Boggs informed participants that by taking part in knitting, they were doing something youth at Amana take part in as well.
Clare Hoklotubbe noted that the project was sometimes hard, especially early on in learning how to do the stitching correctly.
Boggs noted part of that struggle was that hands were too far back on the needles at the moment, and that stitches they were working on were more apt to undo because of that.
“I’ts just awkward for you right now, as you’ve not had a lot of time doing knitting,” Boggs said.
Roughly 30 minutes later as they started to see progress on their project, the attitude of the room had changed.
“This is fun!” said Kathryn Luna.
