The Mount Vernon boys wrestling continued their successful season last week, with a 45-28 win at home against Clear Creek-Amana before taking first place in their own Mount Vernon Invitational.
Against Clear-Creek Amana, the Mustangs had wins from Ethan Wood (220), Trystin Lashley (285), Jase Jaspers (126), Croix Shebetka (132), Mikey Ryan (138), Jackson Jaspers (145), Jackson Hird (160), Henry Ryan (170), Jackson Rhomberg (145).
At their home invitational, Mount Vernon had a first place finishes from Klayten Perreault (106).
Second place finishes went to Jake Haugse (113), Jase Jaspers, Hird, Henry Ryan and Wood,
Third place finishes went to Mikey Ryan and Lashley.
Shebetka placed fifth, and Will Gooodlove (152) and Watson Krob (182) placed sixth.
