Do you wish there was more peace in our nation and the world? Then join Cole Library in celebrating International Day of Peace on Wednesday, September 21.
What is the International Day of Peace? It is a day established in 1981 by a United Nations resolution that provides a globally shared date – September 21 – for all countries to commit to peace and to making a culture of peace a priority. This year’s theme is End Racism. Build Peace. To celebrate we will have a display in the library with books that deal with peace, ending conflict, refugees, racism, and diversity for all ages. These resources will help you keep peace a focus in your life all year long. However you choose to celebrate peace please pause at noon local time and join people all across the globe in a Minute of Silence/Moment of Peace.
