The weekend started with Mount Vernon football team claiming a win against Solon for the first time in more than 19 years.
The weekend concluded with the Lisbon Fire Department’s pancake breakfast. More than 1,350 people went through the breakfast Monday morning. Lisbon fire chief Brandon Siggins noted traffic had been steady since the breakfast kicked off at 6 a.m. By 9:40 a.m., the line stretched almost half a block to get into the pancake breakfast.
Members of the Lisbon Fire Department served up eggs, pancakes, sausage, hashbrowns, applesauce, juice, coffee and milk, manning the griddles and stoves in the fire department.
Funds raised from the breakfast will help the department purchase needed safety gear for the fire station.
What a weekend!
