Lisbon hosting Hwy. 1 Marching Band festivalLisbon High School will be hosting the first ever Hwy. 1 Marching Band festival Tuesday, Oct. 11. The festival will feature bands from Lisbon, Solon, Anamosa and Mount Vernon. All four high school bands will perform the National Anthem together, and then each band will perform their 2022 field show. The event is open to the public. More details on the event will follow soon, but mark your calendar for that date and to support the marching band programs.
Early out days Southeast Linn community Center will be hosting early out activities on Lisbon early out days. On Wednesday, Sept. 21, youth can participate in a flower craft and presentation by the Linn County Master Gardeners from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at SELCC.
WETAP Movie Night Washignton Elementary Teachers and Parents will be hosting an outdoor movie night for elementary families Friday, Sept. 16, at Washington Elementary track and field. The movie starts at 7 p.m. WETAP will be providing popcorn and glow sticks during the movie. Parents must be in attendance with their child, and the screening of “Minions: The Rise of Gru” begins at dusk.
