Council approves snow plow refurbish, purchase The Mount Vernon city council approved the repair of a snow plow blade, as well as the purchase of a new blade.
City administrator Chris Nosbisch said the charge to repair one blade was $2,331.59, plus $1,400 to sandblast. While that was within his purchase ability before taking an item to council, Nosbisch included it to give the council an idea of what it costs for a new blade compared to maintenance or repair on an existing blade.
The new snow plow blade was $14,599.
