Two people were injured in a Friday evening motorcycle crash along Sutliff Road.
Aaron Zeman, 48, of Cedar Rapids, and Amber Malloy, 38, Lisbon, were injured in the one-vehicle crash. Zeman and Malloy were transported to a local hospital by Lisbon-Mount Vernon Ambulance service. Neither were wearing helmets in the crash
According to Sgt. Chad Watkinson of the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, first responders were paged to the scene at Sutliff Road and Day Road at 9:19 p.m.
Zeman was northbound on Sutliff Road on a motorcycle. As he was driving, he lost control of the motorcycle and laid it down on the roadway.
Zeman was charged with operating while intoxicated and reckless driving.
Also responding to the scene were Mount Vernon-Lisbon Police Department, Linn County Rescue, Mount Vernon Fire Department and Lisbon Fire Department.
