More than 160 pieces of art were added to the City of Mount Vernon streets this weekend, Saturday, May 7 and Sunday, May 8.
Earning first place in the competition was Brielle Hufendinck and Eliza Nelson’s colorful lion piece. Second place wins went to Anna Vavricek and Charlie Krob’s sunset and Pam Hyberger and Alison Frerking’s jazz piece. Third place wins went to Jaicie Krutzfeld, Dave Pittman’s chameleon and Mike Larson’s video game piece. Stacy Fett was the people’s choice and artist’s choice winner of the competition.
Honorable mentions went to Kristen Hawkins; Marlena Rodenberg, Emery Willems, Fiona Calcara and Briley Sellnau; Stacy Fett; Stephanie Garland; Jan Clarke and Judy Murray; Belou Quimby and Hanna Bergsten; Andrea Campbell and Mount Vernon Middle School Art; John Soukup; Lucas McCarley; Madeleine Waltz; Emily Coonrod; and Dallas Olberding and Mariah Chrisman.
