On Saturday, April 30, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office collected 41 lbs. of medications at the Linn County Sheriff’s Office site and 33 lbs. at the Springville Fire Station during the DEA Drug Take Back Event.
According to Major Chad Colston of the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, over the last six months the Sheriff’s Office has collected a total of 498 lbs. of unwanted and unused prescription medicine.
Thank you to all who participated in the event and if you missed the event on Saturday, please take advantage of the prescription drug drop boxes at your local Sheriff’s Office or Police Department to get rid of your unwanted prescription medicine.
