Lisbon Schools has selected Emergent Architects to work with for the proposed career and technical education wing.
Emergent was the company that worked with the district on the $9.2 million general obligation bond project that constructed the new auditorium, outdoor track and classroom improvements.
Lisbon school board member Abbe Stensland recommended the importance of communication between the board and the architect and contractor to avoid mistakes like the air conditioning not being installed in the Lion’s Den.
The board has set Monday, May 2, at 6:30 p.m. as a work session with Emergent Architecture to walk through proposed costs for the type of facility they are building and get more accurate costs and estimates ahead of pulling bonds for the facility.
The project will be funded through the statewide penny sales tax revenues for the district, and a public hearing will be scheduled for the project.
