The Mount Trashmore trails and overlook have opened for the season.
Stumptown Trail will be available to walkers and runners. Overlook Trail and will be available to walkers and bicyclists. Trashmore Trail, the downhill flow trail for bicyclists only, is still drying out and is not ready for use yet. That trail will open in the weeks ahead.
All visitors need to check-in at recreation building 948 and fill out a waiver that is good for the entire year. There are kiosks for the check-in process. Also inside recreation building 948 are restrooms, a hydration station, bike fix-it stations, gathering space, and trail staff to answer questions.
As a closed landfill, Mount Trashmore is a permitted and regulated waste management site. All visitors are asked to follow site rules and regulations that can be found here: https://www.solidwasteagency.org/mount-trashmore
Trail hours for 2022:
9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (Closed Easter Sunday, April 17)
Closed Monday
