Kristen Elliott, a senior on the Luther College women’s basketball team and a 2018 graduate of Mount Vernon High School, was named to the 2022 American Rivers Conference Winter Sports All-Academic Team. This is the first time she has been so honored.
Elliott was one of 125 student-athletes from the nine conference members who earned this award.
To qualify for all-academic team honors, a student-athlete must be in their sophomore, junior or senior year of eligibility; have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or greater on a 4.0 scale; have attended the school for at least a year; and be a member of the varsity team. Academic all-conference teams are sponsored three times a year, fall, winter and spring.
The Winter Sports All-Academic Team is comprised of student-athletes from the conference championship sports of men’s and women’s basketball and wrestling.
Elliott, an allied health sciences major, is the daughter of Jeremy and Carrie Elliott of Mount Vernon.
