Hunt and Associate, P.C. Certified Public accountants released an audit report on Mount Vernon Community School District in Mount Vernon.
The district’s revenues totaled $20,671,179 for the year ended June 30, 2021, a 2.5 percent increase from the prior year. Expenses for district operations for the year ended June 30, 2021, totaled $20,250,799, a 1.7 percent increase from the prior year.
The auditor reported three findings related to the receipt and expenditure of taxpayer funds. They are found in the Schedule of Findings and Questioned Costs of this report. The district was provided with recommendations to address each of the filings. Two of the three findings discussed above are repeated from the prior year.
