Many children enjoy nature and animals and are curious about the lives animals lead in the world.
At Cole Library we have recently purchased several books about these topics — song bird migration, penguins, planting a forest, our national parks, honeybees and children around the world who are helping to save the planet. If there is child in your life who would be interested in any of these topics, stop in and check out these new titles: You Are Home: An Ode to the National Parks; Honeybee: The Busy Life of Apis Mellifera; Penguins Don’t Wear Sweaters; Old Enough to Save the Planet; Warbler Wave and The Boy Who Grew a Forest. They will be on display in the Children’s Room.
Also, please note that due to the high number of Covid cases during the month of January we are checking out Story Time to Go packets instead of hosting Story Time. A cart of packets is available to browse at the first-floor circulation desk. They contain three books, two songs or fingerplays and a simple craft. We hope to be back in person in February.
