If you push snow into the street to remove it from your sidewalk or driveway, Lisbon city administrator Brandon Siggins said that snow should be moved to the curb line, not just remain on the street for city crews to deal with.
“Don’t rely on city snow plows to remove this snow,” Siggins said. “What happens is that it gets driven over not by snow plows, but other drivers in the city, and we have instances of vehicles getting stuck on roadways.”
Siggins also reminded citizens that snowmobile use is not allowed in city parks, and that snow mobile riders need to be respectful of others in the town of Lisbon.
“We’re receiving reports of snowmobilers driving down the lawns of other citizens’ properties in the community,” Siggins said.
Chapter 75 of Lisbon’s code of ordinances clearly states that snowmobiles can only operate on non-plowed city streets or the streets designated for their use in the city limits.
